Like any other substance, prolonged exposure to higher than normal levels of Ozone can cause ailments. These ailments range from headaches to respiratory irritation to more serious complications if exposed to extremely high levels for extended periods of time. Ozone Plus ensures that people and pets are not exposed to higher than normal, or ambient levels, of Ozone. People and pets are not allowed inside the home or facility while the treatment process is occurring. Ozone Plus’ well trained technicians take other precautions to ensure there is no ozone exposure to our customers or our technicians, other than the natural, ambient level of ozone that exists in the normal air we breath. The ‘Our Process’ section details some of the safety measures we undertake to provide our customers peace of mind.

There are debates as to the safety risk posed by Ozone. Some camps insist that it is other elements produced in the generation of Ozone that cause health risks. Countering the danger of Ozone is the fact that Ozone Therapy to treat a wide variety of medical conditions is very popular. Medicinal Ozone Therapy ranges from intravenous administration to Ozone steam saunas.

There has never been a documented fatality due to Ozone exposure even though generated ozone has been in use for over 150 years. Health Canada has stated that prolonged exposure to low levels of ozone can cause headaches and respiratory irritation and recommends that small Ozone generators designed to continuously produce Ozone in occupied spaces not be used. These small generators continuously produce low levels of Ozone. The Ozone Shock Treatment used by Ozone Plus entails using high levels of ozone for short periods of time (4 to 8 hours) in unoccupied areas using commercial Ozone Generators. Ozone Plus technicians are trained to ensure that all safety precautions are followed so that there are no concerns regarding ozone exposure.
